Sunita Chavan had waited a very long time for this moment. She had felt every kick. She had whispered to baby every night while she stitched clothes on her sewing machine, the only source of income her family has..jpg)

Apnea of Prematurity
Treatment given so far:

Mechanical ventilation
CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) support
Antibiotic prophylaxis
Parenteral nutrition (IV nutrition because he is too small to feed orally)
Multiple PCV (Packed Cell Volume / blood) transfusions
Treatment still required for the next ~30 days:
Continuous oxygen support
NICU-level monitoring
Optimal nutrition management
Active management of complications from prematurity
The total cost: ₹5,27,000.
Sunita is still recovering from her C-section. But she hasn't left the hospital. She sits next to the incubator every day, watching her son breathe with the help of a machine.
The family has nothing left. The sewing machine cannot pay this bill. But you kindness can help them.

- Update 06 Jul 2026Dear Donors,Thank you for your kindness and support for baby of Sunita Chavan. It has been over two months since this tiny boy — born ten weeks too early — began his fight for life at Borneo Hospital, Nashik. In that time, his mother Sunita has not left his side. She sits by his incubator every day, watching, waiting, and praying — even as she continues to recover from her own C-section.Back home, her husband Pravin holds the household together, caring for their six-year-old son who needs constant attention and supervision. The family has been quietly split in two — one parent at the hospital, one at home — doing whatever it takes to keep everything from falling apart.Sunita's sewing machine — the family's only source of income — has been silent since the day her baby was born. There is no earnings coming in. There is only a hospital bill that continues to grow. The baby continues to receive intensive medical care and monitoring at the NICU. His journey is still ongoing, and the road ahead remains long and uncertain.Your support so far has meant more to this family than words can say. We request you to please continue standing by them — and to share this campaign with anyone who might help. With the family going through such a difficult situation, we sincerely urge everyone to continue extending their support in whatever way possible.Regards,Medical Social Worker,Pledge Foundation
